LANGUAGEThe official language of the meeting is English. All abstract submissions and presentations are to be in English.

Please note that in certain halls the presentations will be bilingual. The presenters will be able to present in Dutch and an English translation will be provided on the spot by volunteer translators arranged by the speaker. The presentations in this case will be shorter and the request to present in a bilingual hall will have to be made in advance through the abstract submission system. All the requests will be considered.

LETTER OF INVITATION The organizers will be pleased to provide a letter of invitation to any pre-registered and paid participant requesting one. It is to be understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa. It is not a commitment on the part of the Meeting to provide any financial support.

INSURANCE

The congress organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to congress participants (or their accompanying persons), either during, or as a result of the congress.

VISASAll visitors are required to have a valid passport, and for some countries, a visa is required. For more information please contact your nearest Dutch Embassy, Consulate or local travel agency well in advance. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

CURRENCY AND MONEY EXCHANGE

The currency in Holland is the Euro. ATM'S are used by everybody and there are plenty around the city. The best option for exchanging money is a bank (banking hours are 10am to 3pm). There are also many Currency Exchange Bureaus and most hotels exchange money as well.
 
AUTOMATIC CASH DISPENSERS

Automatic cash dispensers accepting Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard, American Express credit cards and Maestro Cirrus or Visa Electron debit cards are situated at all main banks, town centre, hotels, bigger stores, airports and railway station.

CREDIT CARDS

All major credit cards, such as Mastercard/Eurocard, Visa, American Express, Diners etc., are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops

ELECTRICITY

Voltage: 220 Volts, 50 Hz. If you travel with a device that does not accept 220 Volts at 50 Hz, you will need a voltage converter. Continental Europe plugs are used.

CLIMATE AND WEATHER

The city has an average temperature of 18º Celsius, making it perfect for sightseeing all year round.

July is the coldest month. Although it's not freezing, it is advisable to wear something warm. Temperatures in winter are quite moderate during the day, dropping considerably at night.

Summertime brings wet heat. During the day the weather is very hot, with temperatures dropping slightly at night.

The rainiest seasons are fall and spring (from March to June and from September to December). it generally drizzles, so a raincoat and an umbrella are required. In March the daytime temperatures average 25º C. Night time temperatures average 14.5º C (58º/77º F)

Mornings are generally fresh during the sunny autumn days and springtime, with temperatures rising gently towards midday and dropping at night.


SANITARY CONDITIONS

There is no need to get vaccinated before traveling to Holland as this is a hygienic city with running water. Public hospitals are open to tourists free of charge all day around as well as ambulance service.
