FLIGHTS TO BASEL
You can reach Basel through two international airports, EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg - the cities official international airport - and Zurich Airport.

· located north of of the city on French territory, around 5km / 3.1miles from the city centre of Basel
· served by several European airlines such as Air France, British Airways, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Iberia, EasyJet, KLM, etc..
· after the baggage claim you’ll see two exits, one for France and one for Switzerland. Leave through the «Swiss exit» and you’ll be in Switzerland.
· on the departure level of EuroAirport you can cross the border between Switzerland and France
· transfer to the city centre by shuttle bus (no. 50, departure in front of the Swiss terminal) or by taxi
Transfer to hotel bildungszentrum21, conference venue and headquarter hotel
· by public transport: take bus no. 50 to Basel SBB main train station (terminal stop) and change to bus no. 30 (bus stop located opposite of the bus stop no. 50, in front of the restaurant «Dean & David»). Get off after three stops at «Spalentor» and walk down Missionsstrasse. After 150m on the left hand side is hotel bildungszentrum21. Transfer time: 30 – 35 minutes. Costs: free of charge for hotel guest in Basel (see «BaselCard»)
· by taxi: travel time 10 minutes. Costs: approx. CHF 35.00

· main Swiss airport, located north of Zurich approx. 85km / 53miles from Basel.
· IFTA suggests transfer to Basel by train, transfer time to Basel SBB main train station approx. 1h 20 min. There are direct trains between Zurich Airport and Basel SBB or trains where you have to change once (at Zurich HB main train station or at Olten)
