Student Abstract Award

The "Best Student Abstract Award (for a presentation) is open to graduate students seeking a degree in family therapy who meet the following criteria.

The awardee will have his/her registration payment refunded after the announcement of the award.

Student Abstract Award Best Student Abstract (for a presentation) Criteria

1. Single Applicant - Group presentations are not appropriate for this award. It is intended to recognize the work and presentation of one student. Hence, only proposals prepared and submitted by a single student will be considered. Academic advisors should not appear on the proposal.

2. Focus of the Presentation - The abstract should focus on or have a strong relationship to the theme of the Congress.

3. Quality and Originality - Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the quality and appropriateness of the student's abstract proposal. Proposals should be based on the student's research or education or clinical experience and not a repetition of the theory or work of others.

4. Attendance - Registration and Congress attendance is required in order for their proposal to be considered, applicants must be registered and have paid the Congress attendance fee and agreed to attend and present their material at the Congress.

Ordinarily, one Best Student Abstract Award for a presentation at the congress will be made, but, at the judgment of the Congress committee, two, or no Best Student Awards for a Presentations may be made.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

You will be automatically entered into the Best Abstract Award if you have submitted a single or solo abstract.

Proof of student status (transcript, copy of student identification card, or letter signed by head of department) must be sent to the Event office for award consideration.The awardee will have his/her registration payment refunded after the announcement of the award.
